    We were driving through and our son requested pizza. We saw this place and stopped. The inside was pretty clean and well kept. It wasn't too busy in there either. We were served right away and the staff was very friendly. We got a small pizza, salad, and a hot sandwich. We love all of them. The salad was nice and fresh with large veggies on it. The pizza came out fast, has really good sauce and cheese. and the hot sandwich was so yummy! We didn't want to stop, we had wanted to order more even though we were full. If we are through the area again we will totally stop. We just wish there was another one near where we live. So yummy. totally stop and try.

    Bomb authentic down home Italian cuisine! The manager told me the story of how they as a Hmong family bought the place from a purely Italian family and kept the recipes and decor in tact. I don't eat pork so I ordered the spaghetti with extra beef sauce. So blue collar righteous. Near the new soccer stadium. Highly recommend!

    We've been getting Checkerboard Pizza for over 30 years now. What first was a college staple has now become a treat when we're in that part of town. It's always delicious, certainly in our top 3 pizza places all time! The bread sticks are to die for, soaked in a perfect garlic butter. And the Crown Royal is absolutely amazing.

    Have been to this place every time before United games at Allianz Field, an easy two block walk. Incredibly friendly staff, great prices and...amazing pizza.

    Pizza is very tasty and worth the price. Good crust, sauce, and toppings. 5/5 for the pizza. However, the brownie I bought there was just a packaged Sara Lee brownie. It was featured as a "new" product on the menu, and there was no indication that it was a pre-packaged brownie. -1 star for that.
